"What do you want your mother to do if you could turn back time?"
I want my mother to find a better man than my father.
She has many dreams, places to go, and things to do, which all go to waste because she married my dad. She could've been this astonishing and marvellous woman surrounded by all the world's most beautiful things. She could've travelled to the other side of the earth and seen the beauty of nature. She could've enjoyed her life. She could've been happier.
She sacrificed too many things to make ends meet, keep me and my brother from starving, getting us through school, all because my father couldn't properly do his job as a husband.
I wouldn't have been born if my mother hadn't met my father, but that's okay. As a daughter who loves her mother with her whole being, I'd rather not be born than see my mother endure years and years of suffering and misery. If I could trade my entire life in exchange for her lifetime happiness, I would do it with no hesitation.
