Okay, I've been on Blogspot since 2011 and I know people usually visit my blog to copy some articles (that I also copied, with credit, of course), for their college assignment, and I am totally fine with that.
However, 10 minutes ago, I was just finished changing my blog address to the old ones, and I searched my blog title in Google to see what kind of result would come up. Then, on the third or fourth page, I saw my blog title but in WordPress.
I don't recall ever signing up for a blog in WordPress. Ever. Tumblr, yes, but WordPress? Never.
So visited this Almost Wonderland knockoff to see what kind of thing they put in there. It even has my old blog description. And oh boy, the first thing I saw was my old poem.
It was my old poem alright. I remember because I wrote it, although now I'm not as proud as I was before. After all, it was cheesy and cringe. I scrolled down until the bottom of the poem to see if they put my name as the writer, you know, to credit the writer so you won't get called as a plagiarist. And I got nothing. No credit, no link, none whatsoever.
So I kept scrolling.
I found several of my poems and writings without credit, but only one poem was credited. And they also put my picture in one of their posts as if it was theirs. The worst part was, they even changed my poems and writings titles so people would think they wrote them themselves.
I don't know how to feel about this. On one side, I'm flattered that someone thinks my poem and writing are worth copying and even put them on their blog. But on the other side, it bothers me because all of them are my thoughts. I poured them into writings so they won't take too much space in my head since they can be quite loud.
The good news is, I think they stop using the blog since 2016 because that's the latest post in it. I'm gonna monitor this blog for a while, just to make sure they really stop using it, and none of my poems nor writing would pop up anymore.
