It's not easy to gain someone's trust because it's a crucial thing, a go signal to let down any defenses they barricade themselves with. For some, it's like giving permission to see all their vulnerabilities and weaknesses, not just those, but everything of their whole being. That's why it's not something they give away carelessly.
A steady relationship doesn't magically build within a day. It takes time, lots of it, such as effort, communication, compromises, and commitment. Funny how we need a huge amount of time to build it, but only a few hours to ruin it.
Is it just me or most everyone has that train of "what if" thoughts in their heads? That particular anxiety playing over and over. Because I have them sometimes. But like they always told me, I'm just overthinking stuff like I always do. Worrying over something that doesn't and perhaps won't even happen, ever.
