I was riding a grabbike headed home. Everytime I take a public transportation, like a bus or angkot or even grabbike, I've always prepare the money I should pay in my pocket so I don't have to digging through the wallet because it'll take a while. So before the driver arrive to pick me up, I already prepared the money.
I remembered that I put 70 pesos in my shirt's pocket before headed home. So when I arrived at the clubhouse in the apartment, I reached for it. And in my pocket there was only 20 pesos. Deym. The money must have flew out of my pocket. "I'm short on the money department and now I have to lose 50 pesos. That's just great!" I said to myself while searching for another 50 pesos in my wallet.
There was another bike right beside the grabbike I took, two men on it. They speak Tagalog and I couldn't heard them well because I was wearing headset. I turned my face to them, and they handed in 50 pesos to me, they said "here Ma'am, you dropped your money.".
And I was way too speechless because they probably picked it up on the road and followed me until my ride stopped so they can gave me my money back. "Oh my God, thank you so much po!" I said to them with so much gratitude on my face.
I mean if you find some money on the road you're most probably just keep it to yourself than giving it to the police nearby. Let's be real, we all do it, even me. But those two kind men showed me that there's still kindness lies somewhere in this cruel place. They didn't just go and use my money for themselves, they followed me and giving back my money eventhough it's just 50 pesos.
When there's still kindness, there's still hope :)
